UNIFORMS & DRESS CODE

  • Uniforms: $19-$21 per shirt, $21-$28 per jacket, $6 per shirt for Logo only

All 3rd-8th grade students must wear a uniform shirt (white, navy, royal blue, light blue, gray, or black) with jeans, shorts, or pants/joggers (black, gray, khaki, or navy).

The uniform bottoms cannot have rips or tears. Children's clothing should be freshly laundered and clean each day. If a child comes to school in clothing outside of these guidelines, parents will be called to bring appropriate clothing. If your child or their clothing is emitting an odor, parents will also be called. When students struggle with this consistently, it can be socially isolating. Please help them to avoid this situation by providing your child/children with deodorant, body sprays, freshly laundered clothing, and good hygiene practices (tooth brushing, daily showering, etc.).

We have a variety of hoodies, jackets, and light weight, dri-fit pullovers for students to choose from if they get cold easily. They must have a school logo on them for your child to be able to wear it throughout the day. When students are outside in the warm weather months, they will not be allowed to wear hoodies and jackets while outside as they get overheated and sweat. All students have a locker or cubby. Please send deodorant that is labeled with your child's name that can be kept in the locker for your child to use as needed.

    • Close-toed shoes are required. Please make sure your child is not wearing open-toed shoes, flip-flops, etc. to reduce the risk of falling and insect bites. No crocs.

    • Students must be wearing tennis shoes for PE.

    • Please make sure shorts and skirts are an appropriate length. Shorts and skirts can be no more than 3" above the knee. No short shorts or short tops as midriffs are to be covered at all times.

    • No undergarments should not be visible at any time.

    • Students are not allowed to wear basketball shorts, yoga pants/leggings, or sweatpants.

    • Hoodies, jackets, and sweatshirts must have the Crossroads logo on them to wear them in class.

    • Hoodies, jackets, and sweatshirts must be taken off when going outside in warm weather.

High School Students

  • High school students are not required to wear uniforms. However, we do require the clothing to fall within certain guidelines. Students can wear most clothing except for shirts with any writing or graphics that send an obvious, inappropriate or subliminal message of any kind. Ultimately, the school, staff, and board have the right to determine what is appropriate for school. As a school, we trust our students will govern themselves and follow the dress code guidelines the school has laid out. However, if a student is unable to follow the dress code and it is a consistent issue, the school will require the student to wear a school uniform for a preset time frame, before allowing them to try again. Please remind your child that school is a learning setting. We want to help them build life skills, and part of that lesson is learning what is appropriate in different settings. Just as adults dress differently for work, an evening out, running errands, or doing yard work around the house, students need to learn this as well. Please assist us in guiding your child in this area.

  • If a student is out of dress code, that child will be given a Crossroads uniform shirt to wear for the day. You will be contacted by the office to let you know your child was out of dress code. Please wash and return the Crossroads uniform shirt your child wore for the day.

  •  Dress code requirements:

  • Tank tops or spaghetti strap shirts are not permitted.

  • Please make sure shorts, skirts, and tops are appropriate lengths. No short shorts or short tops as midriffs are to be covered at all times.

  • No undergarments should not be visible at any time.

  • Rips in jeans cannot expose undergarments. Rips should not be above the mid-thigh area.

  • Close-toed shoes are required. Please make sure your child is not wearing open-toed shoes, flip-flops, etc. to reduce the risk of falling outside or on the stairs and to reduce ant/insect bites.

  • Students must be wearing tennis shoes for PE or HOPE class.

  • Swimsuits are not permitted as shorts.

  • Pajama pants and slippers are not acceptable for school attire.

  • All student clothing, accessories, and makeup should not cause distractions to others. This includes, but is not limited to chains, collars, fishnets, etc.

Hair Color

All students must maintain a natural hair color while attending Crossroads Academy. The natural hair color includes extensions and braids that can be attached to the hair.
